Top management appointed for Kumba Iron Ore

Kumba Resources Limited (Kumba) has announced that Vincent Uren has been appointed as chief financial officer (designate) and Francois Louw as general manager commercial (designate) of Kumba Iron Ore.
The appointments follow the announcement of Kumba's empowerment transaction in October 2005 and the planned unbundling of Kumba into two separately listed entities - Kumba Iron Ore and Exxaro.
In January 2006 Kumba announced that Ras Myburgh has been appointed as chief executive officer (designate) of Kumba Iron Ore. Ras is currently Kumba's general manager of Sishen Iron Ore Company.
Vincent Uren: BCom, CA(SA), CTA, ICMA. Vincent is currently senior vice president of corporate finance at Anglo American South Africa (Anglo), a position he has held since January 2000. He has spent the past 17 years in Anglo's corporate finance department and has been involved in a diverse range of the company's local and international investment and operations projects.
Francois Louw: BEng (Mech), MBA. Francois is currently project director for the Kumba iron ore business's Northern Cape interests, a position he was appointed to in September 2005. The position focuses on the realisation of Kumba's iron ore growth aspirations in the Northern Cape. From 2002 he was manager strategic projects in the iron ore business, and prior to that, from 2001 he was general manager operations at Ticor South Africa. He has also worked in various other operational and engineering roles in Kumba's heavy minerals and coal divisions.
